Paris, being one of the most visited cities in the world, is an expensive city to travel to. This doesn’t mean that tourists with a tight budget should miss out on seeing the impressive capital city. Fashion show at Galeries Lafayette

Every Friday at 3pm Galeries Lafayette holds a fashion show complete with couture and designer collections. Located at 40 Boulevard Haussmann, anyone can attend the show free of charge. It is a great way to experience the fashion scene of Paris without paying a small fortune. As it is one of the most popular things to do in Paris, bookings, without money, are essential.

See a puppet show in the Jardin du Luxembourg

A cheap way to experience the entertainment in Paris is to see a puppet show in the Jardin du Luxembourg. Shows are performed in the southwest corner of the park and are in French, however are easy to understand and still suitable for those who speak other languages. It is one of the great things to do in Paris.

Visit the Paris Plage

The Paris Plage is a sandy beach that runs along the Seine. Open in July and August, the two mile beach has no entry fee. Tourists can soak up the sun at the Paris Plage and even participate in a free game of volleyball!
